la vida es bella

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me...I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Phillippians 3:12-14

holy buckets

We're here...and what a whirlwind the last month has been. After renovating two houses, preparing to list a third, getting a business up and running, getting school stuff solidified for Devin, preparing for Whit's grad, my dad visiting for a few days, a million and a half errands, one too many all-nighters, and living out the remaining parts of "every day", we were pretty tired. I do not intend to complain in any way, but rather state the obvious: again, we're tired! (= On the same note, however, we have come out of it with a sense of accomplishment in that we followed through with what we had set out to do. Though all of this busyness was necessary, I am ultimately reminded of what I feel I am capable of doing if I allow myself to work at my full, God-given capacity. All too often I am complacent, and do not offer all of myself to be of use. As every day is of great importance, I hope to set goals for myself to do all that is possible with each single day gifted to me as He would see fit. I should be tired.

Random thoughts. Some things never change...

Anyways, we've had some down time the last day or so after the first part of the celebrations, so I thought I would take some time to update this thing with a few of the pics of our time thus far. I will try to post some more later, but the internet speed in this beautiful country greatly limits file size, and definitely prohibits me from uploading such things as slide shows. I'll do my best. No matter; I'll take this beauty over internet any day.

By the way, the boys did wonderfully on the plane ride. Dev was awesome, and J did quite well with not being able to run crazy. They are having a blast...

My beautiful sister graduates in T minus 3 hours...
