la vida es bella

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me...I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Phillippians 3:12-14

"The fullness of our heart is expressed in our eyes, in our touch, in what we write, in what we say, in the way we walk, the way we receive, the way we need."

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." - Mother Teresa

Just though I would throw in one of my favorites.

This was one of my very favorite blogs. I went to it to be inspired about faith, challenged in how my American paradigm of how life is so narrow, and taught a little bit now and again about music. Plus many, many more reasons like poetry, CS Lewis, and timly Scripture. It is a tragedy that maia the blog authoress is no longer with us. I will wear black all day tomorrow to mourn our collective loss.

Oh, I am here alright. We must all possess the virtue of patience in order to perceive all things as well in their own time. On another note, black sure is a classy color when it comes to attire.

I come here everyday hoping to see something - anything. I don't know why I do it - an addiction, a longing, a habit? Regardless, I am left unsatisfied. I even liked ready your comments about the color purple. Why did you leave? When will you be back? Post about why you don't post. That should be good.

I'm missing your words as well, but today I read the words of Mother Teresa one more time. How important to think about our "walk", not just our "talk". I may write it on my whiteboard at school and ponder it as I work woth students who struggle. Thanks for sharing these words with us!

I depended on your writings for daily encouragement and a glimpse into a most amazing soul. Where did she go? I need encouragement and agree with all of these individuals. Hearing from you is much better than hearing alot of other things.
